The Mother-f'n Chimney Sweep

Earlier this evening, the Oscars were on as we got to watch Hugh Jackman do an amazing job at standing on stage and hosting such a live event.  An amazing job that I must say, I really hope he doesn't get too much notoriety for because, well, I don't want him to see this as the rest of his career.

Besides the amazing-ness of their new presentation of best actress and best actor, in which five previous winners come up and present the award, almost as if welcoming the latest winner into the sister/brother hood of Oscar wins, was the most beautiful, constant reminder, that Slumdog Millionaire walked away with eight, count that, EIGHT! Oscar wins!

Being the individual who didn't even tune in, till about 10 o'clock, to just watch the last half, I missed some of what was to be anticipated, for example, the Heath Ledger win, etc.  But the only reason why I was late tuning in, was because I was watching Slumdog Millionaire.  I'm not sure how it will feel in the long run, but who cares.  After immediately watching it, and then watching its subsequent wins, I have to say that there was no part in time where I felt like anyone was robbed.  Danny Boyle wins as Best Director, and the film wins best picture, etc, I felt like it was all okay.  Slumdog Millionaire is a brilliant and beautiful film.  Danny Boyle has always been a favorite director of mine, and to see him honoured in such a way, makes me feel a little more confidence in this thing called the Academy.

I only hope that right now, Danny Boyle is plastered and celebrating, or at home with family, and conversing, as he is already plastered.  Danny Boyle, you deserved it!  And you will always have a loyal fan in me.

On behalf of Will and Myself, we here at Neurosisnine Films congratulate you, and can only pray to be in your shoes one day, or see the beauty that you constantly invision with your eyes.
